TMT is an advanced forumla, heat activated paste. TMT enables a dancer to drastically accelerate the breaking in process by moulding the Axis to the unique contours of her feet from the very first wear.

 

The Axis Pointe Shoe comes with a TMT toe box and TMT shank. The Axis is a tapered shoe that looks delicate, light and beautiful en pointe. It is a quieter shoe with cushioned pleats to reduce noise. Its aesthetic features include a U shaped vamp, flat streamlined toe and lowered sides and angled to minimise bagginess and creasing.

 

The Axis is made on a curved last so there are more contact points between it and the dancers foot. Moreover the pleating on the underside of the platform is fine and flat, and the transition from the underside of the platform to the platform itself is softened with a slight curve for ease when rolling through en pointe and in releve. This means a dancer really feels like the Axis is working with her foot.

 

The Axis is labelled Left and Right. Once a dancer has activated TMT with each shoe in accordance with the leaflet provided each shoe will be molded to either a dancers right or left foot.

 

The axis is made with a plastic insole. The curve of the plastic insole complements the curve of the last the axis is made on, evenly distributing the curve in the shoe. As such there is greater articulation of the whole curve of the foot. A dancer also has finer control when en pointe as the plastic insole is sensitive and responsive.

 

In trials to date the plastic insoles have lasted and retained their shape longer than traditional insoles.
