Don’t stop dancing just because it’s the Summer!

Summer’s here! This is great news as it means long days at the beach and fun fun fun! On the other hand it also means that many dance schools break up for the holiday’s which is a real shame for those that would love to keep dancing through the break! However, there are some places that you can look to provide you with your dancing fix throughout the summer! Here at Dancemania, we have put together a short list of place’s you can look!

SUMMER CLASSES

Many dance schools actually run summer classes throughout the summer. It may be a good idea to ask your dance teacher if they are running any or you could even suggest the idea! If your dance school is not running summer classes, you could always go to a different local ballet school to practise over the summer period.

SUMMER SCHOOLS

Many residential dance schools such as Elmhurst School of Dance will hold residential summer schools. You will usually have to go through an audition process to attend this type of summer school however if you are lucky enough to be selected, it would be an amazing opportunity to improve your skills over the summer as well as make new friends!

DVD’s/YOUTUBE

DVD’s and Youtube are a great way for you to practise your moves within the privacy of your own home! Do it by yourself or even invite a friend or two over, put on your dance gear and have a dance party! Here at Dancemania, we sell a wide variety of CD’s and DVD’s so that you can practise at home.

LEISURE CENTRES/THEATRES

Call your local leisure centre or theatre and ask if they have any workshops running throughout the summer! Many leisure centres run dance based activity days for younger children whereas some theatres run workshops that run throughout the whole summer with a show at the end!

KEEP DANCING!

Keep dancing this summer! Have you got any summer schools/classes planned? Let us know!
