Last year we saw the addition of three new professional female dancers to the dancing line up on Strictly, this year they’re mixing it up again and we’re going to see the addition of three new male professionals!
The new pros job will be to thrill the Strictly audience when the show returns this autumn! Each of the new additions will bring a new area of dance expertise to the series, which means more than ever before. So the professional group dances and competing couples’ routines are sure for some show-stopping dance spectacles!!
The new recruits are as follows…
ROBIN WINDSOR has completed five world tours of the worldwide ballroom dancing phenomenon ‘Burn the Floor’, in which he both starred and choreographed in routines.
ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV (who has starred in ‘Burn The Floor’ across the globe) is a Latin Champion and graduate of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in the US. Artem has unique experience of very different dancing genres in addition to his ballroom champion-level skill.
JARED MURILLO was a US open Swing Youth champion at the age of 21, trained in America and was a principal dancer in the movies ‘High School Musical’ 1 & 2.
As well as the new additions to the male professionals, a professional Dance Group has been added to the bill. According to sources, this new dance group will be giving performances on a scale never seen before on Strictly Come Dancing!!
Mark Linsey the BBC Controller of Entertainment Commissioning has said…
“Strictly will be back this autumn with more world-class dancers and more spectacular dancing than ever before. I’m delighted to be welcoming three new fantastic dancers to Strictly and am really excited about the introduction of a professional dance group, giving us even more opportunities to feature different areas of expertise and more genres of dance than in any other series.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens in the Autumn, and with all the new additions, the Dancemania team can’t wait!
