Web pages are not loading?

If you have got an internet connection and email works but your browser can not display a web page then this will fix it.
So you have Blank pages displayed on all browsers
We’ve had the same situation here in the Dancemania admin office. One of the PC’s stopped displaying web pages. Whilst the PC was happily connected to the office network and able to send and recieve emails no browser would display anything other than a blank screen: in the case of IE8 it would display the “do you want to run diagnostics” button. When you clicked the button it would do its diagnostics and come back gleefully stating “nothing wrong here mate”, or words to that effect.
What is the problem?
The problem is that WINSOCK has got itself in to a silly state and the fault will affect all browsers.
How to fix it
1. Go to the Start menu, click on All Programs then click on the Accessories folder and then Right click on the Command Prompt icon and open as administrator
2. At the command line type “netsh winsock reset”
3. Reboot your PC
You will see that your browser is now displaying web pages.
