Where can I buy the dresses seen on Strictly Come Dancing?

Where can I buy the dresses seen on Strictly Come Dancing?

That’s a good question, and given that throughout the series of Strictly Come Dancing the quality of the dancewear on each show maintains the highest levels of design and pazzaz I can understand why you would want to get your hands on these fabulous dance dresses. When you go on the official Strictly Come Dancing website you are informed that “Most of the outfits are created by a team working across different locations – both on BBC premises and in freelance costumiers. The presenters’ outfits are also a mixture of high street and specially designed outfits.”, which is of no help at all. Well, I can tell you that during this season that one of the “freelance costumiers” is Chrisanne, the BAFTA nominated costumiers, and they are selling some of the show’s dresses.

Chrisanne have just released for sale dresses and outfits from WEEK 3, WEEK 4, and WEEK 5 of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 and each of them have been hand crystallized with the finest SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, which is the secret behind the dresses ability to sparkle so fantastically on the television every Saturday night.

Katya Virshilas wore this Red Satin and Lace Ballroom gown for her performance with Gavin Henson on Week 4 of Strictly Come Dancing. This dress was the perfect colour for a passionate Tango.

Having partnered cricketer Phil Tufnell last year she is now dancing with Rugby’s “bad boy” Gavin Henson, and dispite his lack of passion in the routines they make an irresistible couple.

I simply love the dresses on Strictly Come Dancing! Most of the excitement of looking forward to a show is to watch the gorgeous dresses worn! Please let me know when Katya’s red dress worn in the semi-finals of Dec 11 will be on sale? Thanks a ton in advance!

  2. Dieuwertje

please could you tell me when the dresses of Kara in the semi-final (the rumba and viennese waltz) will be for sale? I really really love them!
And if they are not for sale, then I must ask someone who can make look a likes..

  3. Angiesparkles

    Hi there,
Is there a particular website to look at all the dresses for sale. I am particularly interested in Kara’s and Aliona’s dresses from this season.
I look forward to hearing back.

      Hi Angiesparkles,

The dresses and outfits seen on Strictly are not made by just one company but a collection of different freelance companies, all famous in their own way for making award winning dancewear.
Consequently, there is no one website that will list all the dresses, although the Strictly website would be the ideal place to do that. So in the absence of a definitive list of dresses and outfits Dancemania has produced this blog post that has successfully helped people buy their favourite strictly dress, and on that point thank you to all those that have taken the time to email us with their thanks.

Since the dresses pictured in this blog are ALL from Chrisanne you should contact them in the first instance, especially since not all their dresses are pictured here.
Another company to look at is DSI, who have made many of the Strictly outfits over the years.

I hope that helps at least a little.

I would recommend Chrisanne to anyone and everyone. They are absolutely lovely to deal with. I have a large collection of Karen hardy’s dresses and Chrisanne have always gone out of their way to help me get what i wanted.

Hi, I’m interested in the most recent dresses since the last post here, is there an update? Are Chrissane ans DSI still the only go to specialists? Thanks for any updates.
