The big reveal of who is going to be the celebrity dancers on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing has become an important date in the calendar and tonight is the night so get your dance shoes on!
Just announced on The One Show, here is the list of celebrities taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing 2012:
British cyclist Pendleton, who won one gold and one silver medal at London 2012, has now retired from the sport. The 31-year-old had previously spoken of her desire to take part in the BBC One dancing contest.
The 23-year-old previously displayed his singing talents as a contestant on The X Factor in 2008
Dani Harmer, best known for playing Tracy Beaker on CBBC, was the first celebrity to be unveiled ahead of the latest Strictly series. At only just over five feet tall Dani is odds on to partner Vincent Simone, in my books at least.
At 74, former children’s TV host Johnny Ball is expected to be the oldest competitor to participate in this year’s show, but age is just a number and Johnny is a master of numbers. This year he is following his daughter Zoe’s footsteps.
Fern Britton is an English television presenter, known as the former main co-presenter on the ITV magazine programme This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield. She left the show on 17 July 2009, her 52nd birthday.
Denise Van Outen
Denise van Outen is an English actress, singer and television presenter. Her most notable roles to date are as a presenter on The Big Breakfast, and as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago on both the West End and on Broadway.
But who will be their dance partners?
We will have to wait until the first show of series 10 on Saturday 15th September 2012 to find that out.
